Iron removal and demanganation

LWT ENGINEERING offers mechanical and catalytic filters for removing iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide from water. 

The principle of catalytic filtration is based on a catalytic reaction that occurs in on the surface of the catalytic loading. Soluble iron and manganese compounds oxidize to insoluble forms and are retained in the filter medium layer, and hydrogen sulfide is oxidized to sulfates. After passing of a certain amount of raw water (after depletion of the oxidizing tank), catalytic loading is regenerated by potassium permanganate solution, while its efficiency is fully restored. This loading is used with periodic or continuous regeneration scheme. More often it is used the periodic regime, that is, with a break for regeneration that occurs automatically at a set time after passing through the system of the estimated amount of water. Sodium hypochlorite or ozone can be used as a reagent for carrying out constant regeneration. And for Purolisite boot systems pre-aeration is sufficient.
