Sodium hypochlorite plants

LWT Engineering carries out the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of sodium hypochlorite production plants.

Sodium hypochlorite production plants are a good alternative to the imported hypochlorite traditionally used for this purpose or chlorine gas. Systems of electrolytic production of sodium hypochlorite solution are mainly used in decontamination processes.

The systems are designed for for electrolysis production of sodium hypochlorite solution (NaClO) directly at the point of consumption from sodium chloric solution (NaCl). The resultant sodium hypochlorite solution has a concentration ~ 6 ÷ 7 g/l in terms of active chlorine, due to which it is provided long-term storage without loss of disinfecting properties. The capacity of systems are from 125 g/h to 45.0 kg/h for active chlorine.

Selcoperm plants include the following units:

  •  electrolysis unit (electrolysers and separator), interlocked with a hydraulic delivery unit for electrolysis of initial products - softened water and concentrated NaCl solution);
  • a container for the preparation and storage of a saturated NaCl solution (saturator);
  • source water softening system;
  • a container for storing the final product (HCN solution);
  • ventilation systems for dilution and removal of hydrogen from the electrolysis unit;
  • unit for washing electrodes from deposits of hardness salts;
  • dosing pumps for supplying the HCN solution to the injection points.

As part of the system delivery,  it is performed a full spectrum of the design of the auxiliary equipment using 3D modeling.

Application area:

  • Disinfection of drinking water - water utilities and enterprises.
  • Disinfection of water in swimming pools.
  • Sodium hypochlorite production for large water treatment systems (over 300,0 m3/hour).
