Ultrafiltration

LWT Engineering carries out the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of water ultrafiltration units. Ultrafiltration is a reliable and effective way to purify water from finely dispersed and colloidal impurities, organic substances, bacteria and viruses, that doesn’t  change its mineral composition . Ultrafiltration method, based on the use of membranes with a pore size of 0.02 microns, is intended to obtain drinking and process water. It is also used as a pre-treatment stage before the softening, desalinating, nano-filtration and reverse osmosis installations.

The main advantage of ultrafiltration is that the quality of the purified water is consistently high regardless of the quality of the source water. Moreover, the use of ultrafiltration can significantly reduce the necessary area to accommodate the equipment.

The LVT Engineering company produces complete membrane ultrafiltration water with a capacity of 1 to 250 m3/hour.

Fields of use:

  • Heat power industry - pre-treatment of river water before softening and deep desalination systems.
  • Metallurgy - preparation of surface water before installation of reverse osmosis.
  • Food industry - removal of bacteria and viruses, pre-cleaning before reverse osmosis systems.
  • Municipal water supply - removal of suspended solids, bacteria, viruses.
  • Waste water treatment - post-treatment after biological reactors.
